Tasty Palm Juice and Palm Fruit in Cambodia



I may not be able to tell my readers all the local people's usage of palm tree. They make use of every single thing. Yet, in the pictures below, there are only 3 usage of palm fruit. Let's take a look.

Palm juice is very popular for the Cambodian especially those in the countryside. Some Cambodian use the juice instead of wine. Palm juice is usually come out in two types of flavour - sour and sweet. A person can become tipsy or even drunk if he/she consumes a large amount of it.





Above picture is palm fruit, one of my favourite. The more mature it is, the harder the the fruit. Usually, people prefer the tender fruit because it is easy to chew and it the little juice inside the fruit is sweeter.




This is a part of the process of making palm sugar by the Cambodian people.
